It is part of their cash-cows in order to generate more money for the school. Believe it or not, I went to Georgetown University for the name brand; but for the quality, well Southern Methodist University was better.
in Singapore I found 3 colleges who 'teamed up' with local Institutes. Surprise the report didn't mention any of them. I thought they were considered big names in the US. MIT collaboration (you actually have to get admitted into MIT proper) MIT Collaboration with SUTD | Singapore University of Technology and Design Yale NUS (Degree granted from 'Yale-NUS' College, NUS) Would this be considered a partial ivy ? If there's such a thing. Yale-NUS College Duke NUS medical school (met a US student who went to duke for interviews, got accepted into this program in Singapore.) https://www.duke-nus.edu.sg/ Not sure how the $$ exchanges work here between the US Unis and the local Singapore colleges, but I would think it had to be good for them to bring their brands over to Singapore.
