Delaware certified bogus ‘doctorate degree’ in psychology for school counselor charged with raping 5-year-old girl: State education officials now admit they erred in verifying that Arnold has advanced degrees in psychology from Ohio University, which he never attended (Chris Barrish, WHYY, July 25, 2024)

Hiring a rapist is one thing, but overpaying him? What were they thinking?

Note that his alleged victim is NOT a student at the district where he worked. (She is a family member.) Looks like both the district (in hiring him) and state officials (for certifying his fake credentials) are at fault in his hiring, but otherwise have nothing to do with his crime.

It doesn't appear the position he held required licensure. But it DID give him access to small children.

He's being held on bail set at $1.05 million. I have to wonder where the .05 comes from? Service fee for using a credit card? Unpaid parking tickets?

OMG, how come nobody did their 'background' checks before they started the hiring process?! Failed in both cases...

  5. I had a background check, including a criminal fingerprint-type check when I was hired as a community college adjunct... anyone able to explain how a grade school can hire someone without a similar check?
