Had a wonderful time at Capella University's Commenement Ceremonies this weekend. Hooding ceremony was Friday night, with the commencement ceremony on Saturday morning. I am so glad I walked (my degree was conferred in March). I was the first graduate to walk across the stage (comes with my last name starting with "A"). When my name was called, my 9 year old daughter shouted, "Way to go Daddy!" That was the icing on the cake, I almost lost it on the stage in tears... To all those who have families, when the time comes for you to graduate...WALK the ceremony. I will always savor that moment! Dr. Shawn Ambrose
Thanks for that story. I never walked to get my undergraduate degree since I had to work and desperately needed the money. But your story and some other I read on this forum convinced me to definitely walk when I get my graduate degree. Now I only need to be accepted into a program. Congratulations Dr. Ambrose!
He's posted some on facebook. The attire looks nice. One day... one day I'll have mine too! I just have to finish my current project. I'd like to walk with WNMU in the Spring, but I hear getting there is a pain in the butt. -Matt
