I would appreciate any help you guys could give me. I've spent between 4-6 hours the last few days searching for an accredited college offering calculus 2 online. If any of you could refer me to an accredited school that would offer this I would truly appreciate it. The only one I've found is University of Utah and they want around $3600 for 1 course. I don't care if it's community college or 4-year, I just want to take it.

and no, I am not looking for a stupid class without tests. I'm finishing my Master's in Management Information Systems this summer and need to take a few math classes because I want to next pursue a masters or doctorate in mathematics. Because I work a 9-5, I can't attend a traditional class but when I was finishing my bachelor's I went up through Calc 1.

Again, thanks for any and all help you provide.

Central Texas College teaches Calculus I-III online during summer (10-week semesters) and fall (16-week semesters). For non-residents outside of TX, tuition costs $130 per credit hour, or $520 for each 4 credit-hour class.

    Here is another alternative

Purchase a one year subscription to Thinkwell Calculus:

    http://www.thinkwell.com/homeschool/product/calculus

Then take the Calc II and Calc III exams through Ohio University:

    http://www.ohio.edu/independent/list2.htm

While LSU is less expensive, the advantage of using Thinkwell is that you receive immediate feedback on your homework at your pace - which is the drawback of independent study. On the other hand, the Ohio U exams are a one shot deal.

Ohio U does provide a great deal of info on the materials that will be covered on the exams. Thinkwell covers about 95% of that material. As you move into Calc III there are two or three sections (about 1 weeks worth) of material that you would need a Calculus Text for.

My daughter is using Thinkwell to study Calculus - she plans to take the Calc CLEP, and then the Ohio U exams for Calc II and III.

Coastline CC has Calculus I thru III
    http://dl.coastline.edu/coursewebsites/math.cfm
I've taken one course thru them and was very happy with it. Some course require exams to be taken on campus or thru a proctor )mine did not).

Distance courses in math offered by California schools can be located on this website:
    http://www.cvc.edu/students/courses

If you live in California CC tuition is very reasonable at around $20 per semester unit.

I looked briefly for a master's degree in math but all that were of interest to me required a BS/BA in math or equivalent.

Did you see Colorado State's M.S. in Statistics? They only require Calculus I-III, 1 semester of linear algebra, and 1 semester of advanced calculus(real analysis). Their applied statistics certificate only requires college algebra, and it is 4 classes long. All of it can be completed online, and it's $520/hr regardless of your residency. I've been thinking about their program for a while...

I've been looking at this program, but I can't find an online/distance course for the Advanced Calculus/Real Analysis prerequisite...

I just wanted to throw this in. Mercy College has an online Bachelors degree program in Math (there are not very many of these around). They also offer individual online courses. Check it out.

This degree only requires 15 units in residence:)

Jeez Ian after I read this...

"In addition to offering many courses online, Mercy Online offers a number of undergraduate and graduate degree programs entirely online provided there is sufficient enrollment. Click on the program names to learn more."

    and this (from the FAQ)...

"Is the program offered completely online?
Yes, the Mathematics program is offered completely online. All online courses will have proctored exams."

I didn't read any further. I didn't see anything about 15 credits of residential work. Can you show mw where that is written?

See page 205 of their catalog
    https://www.mercy.edu/catalogue/ugrad_liberal.pdf
On re-reading the paragraph I realized that the 15 unit residency applies to the math requirements. Their may be other residency requirements for their BS.

I have been talking to Dr. Jana Anderson from Colorado State's Statistics department inquiring about one of their certificates, and she had the following suggestions for those with Calculus or analysis deficiencies:

    University of North Dakota

    University of Minnesota

    Suffolk University

Some of those programs are expensive if you're out of state, but if you're having a hard time finding courses that fit your needs they might be worth looking at...

STEVE! That's a great post! Three hardcore links to a bunch of Math courses. I especially like the Suffolk link because Suffolk is a nice little university in Boston. I know them mostly because they've got a good law school (not distance learning). Thanks again for those links.

Suffolk is a nice school but very, very expensive. A three credit class will run $1,902.
