Unless you were talking to the person advertising for a Bush supporter. Then there'd be lots of "vehemence."

    Please list examples.

You have made an outrageous claim, so please list real-world examples that I can contact, in order to verify your allegations.

    HINT: You can't.

Yet another reason why you're a fake.

M.E., How does quote 1 have ANYTHING to do with the intellect of any Marine? It is a comment on their resolve and courage. You did a heck of lot more than make a snide remark.

Growing up in Ft. Sill, being the son a retired soldier (enlisted), 2 retired uncles, 8 cousins who served, 1 son who served (whose friends who are still serving), and having served myself -- I know a great many soldiers. I could make a number of comments concerning their character in general, but "pansies" would NEVER be one.

Perhaps you should pop over to the Military.com/Marine forums and post your comments, see what type of response you get.

I have provided the link for you (May I suggest one of the thread sconcering missing/POW/KIA marines, i.e FINAL POST OF HONOR - DUTY AT ST. PETER'S GATE)

Excuse me? As a former Marine, you have deeply offended me. I have half a mind to put out an ad to kick an engineer's ass.

I could really care less at who supports whom, but for you to insult me and my fellow marines still on active duty, still dying every day, for you to insult them and practically spit on their personal decisions, whether they voted for Kerry or Bush is discracefull.

The problem is that people like you are so blinded by your ideology that you would say something like that and generalize all Bush supporters, and not see that you are just as bad and blinded as the fools on the far right.

By the way, this big mouth, little brained, low IQ pansy is NOT a Bush supporter.

KERRY LOST. GET OVER IT--I DID. BE A MAN, BE A UNITER, AND BE AN AMERICAN FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE.

    Mr. Engineer,

I'm still waiting for evidence to support your outrageous claim....

Your statement proves my point. The Marine mentality is to respond by “kicking ass” for simply making a statement. Someone with higher intellect would either simply ignore the statement, or think of a witty response.

You might re-read my initial statement. The key word is “I” I, in this fashion is meant to be a pronoun meaning “the one who is speaking” (me in this instance) The statement was “Most Marines that I know” Since I don’t know you or any of your friends (or any other Marines serving in Iraq or anywhere else at this time), it obviously doesn’t apply to you. Although it was more of “tongue in cheek” statement (you can look up the meaning to this statement on your own), it has been my experience during the late 70’s to early 80’s when I served in the Navy that the a great many of the Marines I worked with were not particularity highly intelligent individuals (a lot of blind followers, few real leaders). In my particular field (electronics), Marines supposedly received the same training, However, they tended to be far less efficient, and had a much higher washout rate.

Nevertheless, it was a joke, such as the initial posting on Craig’s list. Get over it.

To respond to your second statement, of course Kerry lost. We can debate the multitude of reasons why this has occurred, but that is unimportant. “Be a man”? Meaningless statement. Probably as valid as saying to you “Grow up”.

I will make this commitment: When Bush grows up and truly becomes a uniter, and then I will follow him. Until that time, I choose not to support this President.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw the other day:

    "STILL not my President."

My response is, well, he is AMERICA'S President. And, part of being American is coming together after elections and making the best of the situation in a positive way. I pity those unable to do so, although it was easy to see they would do so before the election.

It is interesting that you say this. In 8 years of Clinton, we had non-stop bashing by the Republicans who couldn't get over the fact that Bush Sr. and Dole lost. I hate to say this, but it sounds like political payback. If you think about it, it is about as American as you can get to question your government and its motives. What I think sets us apart from other countries is the fact we are not mere sheep to blindly accept someones actions (or words).

No need to worry, Bush knows the game. He played it well with both Gore and Kerry. If he can't take a little bashing, then perhaps he is too thin skinned for the position.

Seems the anti-Bushites forget how many Republicans rallied around President Clinton during his impeachment. Seems they forget how a number of Republicans were either in the Cabinet (William Cohen) or on his staff (Dick Morris).

    And they call us dividers!"
