Bernie was up here, a day or two ago, speaking on this subject. https://beta.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/bernie-sanders-says-canadian-health-system-sets-strong-example-for-us/article36760082/?ref=http://www.theglobeandmail.com& I saw parts of his speech on TV. One part I liked particularly: "How "free" is an American, 70 years old, who can't afford the prescription medication (s)he needs to stay alive?" J.
I'm, putting things mildly, not a Bernie fan. Yet the man has a knack for plainly saying what should be obvious, yet somehow isn't.
Okay. Not everyone likes him, or he'd have been President Sanders before now, I guess. I agree with your second sentence 100%. Maybe if Bernie visits Canada again, he should make a refugee claim, for persecution in his homeland. In the current climate, I think our Immigration people might give such a claim serious consideration. Can you imagine him walking across the border, accompanied by some of the many foreign nationals fleeing America? J.
