Attempted Assassination of President Trump

It is early but it appears someone attempted to assassinate him. He heard a whizzing sound (may have been shot in the ear). Shooter is dead along with an attendee.

I was watching (without sound) on an airplane (women had TV on). Photos of Trump defiantly rallying the crowd as he was rushed away (crowd yelling USA...USA....). Woman watching on the plane was tearing up.

He had the presence of mind to ensure there was some show of strength (perhaps his media sense) rather than just being shuffled off by the Secret Service.

 

Has a Reaganesque quality with added images of strength and defiance.

The images are media/campaign gold.

I can see a contrast being developed with "we beat Medicare" and who do you want in a crisis (the phone call at 2 in the morning campaign advert).

 

Already seeing memes alleging that Biden said it was time to put a target on Trump.

You are getting worried about Biden's chances in the election aren't you.

 

I have the money to go to another country if Trump decides he wants to be like the dictators he idolizes or if Americans decide to fight a civil war over a Cheeto.

 

My friends say that something is wrong with this picture.

There should have been drones flying. The SS snipers should have had the highest ground. They should have used infra red detectors to identify all sniper like positions; anyone unaccounted for should have proactively taken out.

Was this a warning??

The head shot looks like it was spot on and perhaps missed intentionally or due to "windage".

Probably need to get Cheatle to stop talking. She blamed the roof sniper on local law enforcement (was their job) and then made the bizarre sloped roof comments.

I feel sorry for the female agent being pilloried on social media because of her weight and inability to holster her weapon. Must be horrible.

That said, as a former agent noted in the UK media: You have a 6ft 3in former President being protected by relatively short women. He said at one point it looked like Trump was protecting her rather than the other way around.

Then of course the three women looked funny standing next to the vehicle trying to figure out what to do (and finally figured out they need to look official).

President Trump's son has continued to be supportive of the female agents and noted their (the family's) gratitude for them.

Not exactly violent. It is disingenuous to imply otherwise. He was speaking metaphorically about the campaign. And even still, he has stated publicly that it was an unfortunate statement. I'm still waiting for Trump to ONCE say something similar about his actually violent statements.

The local SWAT team from Butler, PA said that they had NO COMMUNICATION with Secret Service before the shooting.

 

When local law enforcement was told that there was a man on the roof with a rifle, an officer climbed to the roof and retreated when Crooks pointed his rifle at him. Why would you climb on a roof with no view of an armed person on the roof? Someone with a view should have been notified. After the officer retreated, that's when Crooks fired the shots.

Multiple news outlets have reported that Crooks donated to ActBlue, but it's difficult to independently verify that without date of birth or specific address information. There are multiple people with his name in Pennsylvania. ActBlue says that it does not take donations from minors, and Crooks was a minor at the time. Maybe he lied about his age; I wonder what he used to make the donation.

His former classmates said that he expressed his conservative views in class. People who knew the family reported seeing pro-Trump signs in their yard. Crooks' mother is a registered Democrat, and his father is a registered Libertarian. Crooks was previously denied membership to a gun club because he was such a bad shot that it was a safety issue. So, the MAGA conspiracy theories that the government hired Crooks to be an assassin make no sense.

Crooks was researching multiple politicians and high-profile individuals, including Biden. It looks like he did this for notoriety, and Trump was convenient because he came to his city.

 

It's interesting that he was a bad shot. He took 8 shots apparently against the ex-President. I really don't know much about guns but, I'd guess that AR-15's aren't the best kind of rifle to use for sharpshooting? Crooks was a crazy sad loner. He seems to share those characteristics with a lot of the mass shooters.

Were his shots taken from behind the ex-President? Shouldn't he have been aiming for the body?

 

He was young with no law enforcement or military experience. His dad took him shooting regularly. Obviously, he never got any better.

This is starting to look like a case of a bullied person with no friends looking for fame. Based on what I've read so far, they have yet to find political motivation for the shooting. Fortunately, Trump's ear looks fine. I saw a very tiny pink mark where he was nicked.

 

So, questions asked.
Was this major negligence or someone let this happen?
Focus less on the shooter, who seems to be young person who had some shooting practice, but on those who failed/let this shooting happen.
If Trump didn't turn his had during the shoot, speech, the outcome would have been different.
Ear is very close to brain, skull.
Highly suspicious event.

 

To believe that the Secret Service or someone in law enforcement decided to let Crooks attempt an assassination is beyond ridiculous. It is Looney Tunes cartoon crazy. Also how does damage to his ear add to the suspicion? Crooks fired his gun 8 times. It makes as much sense to speculate that Crooks missed 7 times on purpose and then nicked Trump's ear on purpose just to win Trump sympathy and get him elected President. Oh and I'm a snake person from the center of the Earth. It is very difficult typing on the keyboard with my forked tongue.

 

Now that it appears that Crooks was a gun enthusiast and likely wasn't Antifa, we should stop focusing on the shooter or aggressive campaign rhetoric. If it had been clear that he was a leftist or Democrat, it would be all about the shooter and Democrats using harsh language even though Trump has been using far more violent language for years.

I already addressed law enforcement's mistakes. We don't get to see how incompetent the Secret Service might be because people rarely attempt to assassinate political figures in the U.S. But, even the best law enforcement agency in the world is going to make some mistakes. In regards to the local police department, it is totally believable that they were dumb because I used to work with dumb officers every day. Generally, most law enforcement is pro-Trump.
