It's cheaper, especially if you're feeding kids. 3 litres in a bag is about $1.75 cheaper than 3 1-litre wax cartons. I never bother because

    (1) I'm clumsy - long ago, in my married days, I often snipped the edge at the wrong angle and got floods.

    (2) I've lived alone for the past 44 years. All I use it for now is cereal, so I buy it one 1-litre carton at a time. No-hassle trumps very small savings.

    (3) I now buy non-cow milk. The stuff they make from oats, almonds, etc. It doesn't come in bags. After my heart op (and even before) I used skim cow milk. Then I found I could have the benefits of that, without 13 g of extra sugar that occurs naturally in the cow milk.

Tastes better than cow milk, too. Sorry, Bessie!!

Yeah, this Canadian was agreeing with him until that.

Don't care about hockey, curling, back bacon, but maple syrup.. can't be dissing that.

Well, you can eat my share, then. You'll have 70 years of catching up to do. That's how long I've been here and not eaten any. Bon appétit!
There's no Federal or Ontario Provincial requirement that I eat it. I CHECKED! :D

And the Canadian Citizenship test is a 10,000 word essay on the Stanley Cup playoffs and a blindfold taste-test of 18 brands of beer. Not a word in it about sirop d'érable! :D
