What are the course materials typically like? After all, not all distance learning modules are created equal. I have found that the quality of courses in DL can vary widely. Also, people learn differently. Are there video lectures, podcasts or other multimedia? What is LMS like? What are the available channels of feedback/communication with the professors? Are grades based on exams (open or closed book)? Or rather on projects, case studies or a combination? Does "independent and flexible" mean that the courses are self-paced or do they follow a set term?

 

It's assignments, reading and writing thus far (at least for my MBA-IM degree)
