I was wondering does anyone know anything about Ashworth College? Is it a good program. I know it is accreditted by the DETC, but I don't know if that accrediting is any good or not. Any help would be nice. Thank you in advance.
If accredited by DETC, you can be assured that the school at least meets some minimal academic standards, and that the degree earned will be legitimate. However, DETC accreditation is considered by many to be second rate to regional accreditation, as most RA graduate programs and some employers will not accept DETC degrees. Depending on your intended area of study, there are probably regionally accredited programs available that will suit your needs equally or better. Let us know what your specific area of interest is, and I'm sure that you'll get some good possibilities to look into.
My area of study is Criminal Justice. I am trying to find a good school that will give me a degree that will be widely accepted. Any info would help. Thanks Jack Metcalf
I'm assuming that you're looking for a Bachelor's degree, in which case there are several RA options: Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey offers a B.S. in Human Services, with a concentration in Administration of Justice. http://www.tesc.edu Charter Oak State College in Connecticut offers the B.A./B.S. in General Studies, with a concentration in Criminal Justice. http://www.cosc.edu Bemidji State University offers the B.S. in Criminal Justice. http://www.bemidji.msus.edu Roger Williams University in Rhode Island offers the B.S. in Criminal Justice. http://www.rwuonline.cc/programs/uvc/distance.html That's just a start. There are more out there, but it's late and I'm tired... Bruce
-Ashworth College gives misinformation- Page 1 of Ashworth College contract from a friend stated "Full Tuition Cost: $890" At the bottom of page 1, it asks for your signature. On the back of page 1 (page 2) are tiny tiny statements said that the back cost is for 1 semester only.
$890 for one semester is still a steal, isn't it? ------------------ Sam C www.uci.edu UCI 2002 [email protected] Confusion is just the path to insight and knowledge
