    I completely agree.

I guess there are many degrees of fraud. For example, how many individuals with an unaccredited degree list it on their résumé and specifically state that the degree is from an unaccredited institution? I’ve seen thousands of résumés and I’ve seen hundreds of unaccredited schools listed (including mills). Not once, have I ever seen an unaccredited school listed as such. Why is that?

Lets say someone has a Ph.D. from SCUPS. If it is listed on their resume as
"unaccredited but approved by the California BPPVE" would that suffice?

I understand. I have an admitted tendancy to get off topic. I think Ms Donatelli is a sad case. Based on the e-mail to Mr. White and the flurry of faxes and e-mails to John Bear in which she apparently believed he had some control over this forum, I would guess she is someone who is easily confused and may not comprehend what she is doing at times. A question I would have is: should how she is handled by the authorities depend on if she was truely so confused or naive about her diploma mill degree that she could be considered a victim Vs. being purposeful in fraudulently presenting herself?

In my opinion, that would be more than sufficient, Rob. However, like I said, I have yet to see a single résumé that listed an unaccredited school this way.

In all jurisdictions there is a forensic evaluation process used to determine a persons competency and/or criminal responsibility in situations where a persons mental status is suspect. If a person with Alzheimers gets behind the wheel of a car and, in their confused state, kills someone, they may not be considered to be "responsible" for their actions but you can bet your boots that they'll NEVER get the chance to do it again. They will be locked up, maybe not in a jail but locked up nonetheless. Would this be a preferable alternative to the woman in question? Maybe once the civil suits start rolling in she'll wish she had Alzheimers.

    Lot's of Lasalle grads

A Google search still turns up a whole lot of people who are willing to put doctorates from LaSalle University in Mandeville, La. as credentials on their websites.

Now, I remember reading about this mill back in the 80's when I first read one of Dr. Bear's books, and kind of figgered it had gone away altogether. Guess not. One of the fellows (who seems deeply involved in medicine and medical institutions) also lists himself as a member of Mensa. How interesting. How stupid.

This thread reminded me our old friend uncle janko. I believe Uncle Janko died a while ago, he used to be an excellent contributor.

He did, he died in a car crash not long after receiving his doctoral degree from a South African school, I can't remember which school. He is missed, as is Mark Israel, who was another valued contributor before he died after a long battle with a traumatic brain injury he received after he was on the losing end of a bicycle vs. car crash.

I know we've lost more members than them, but I either don't want to think about it, or can't remember right now.
