Hello all! I'm researching EdD programs and I ran across an EdD in Human Services Administration from Nova Southeastern. That is just what I'm looking for... anyone know of any other online EdD programs with a concentration in Human Services?
What exactly is "Human Services"? Is that similar to a social work degree? Or is it rather interdisciplinary, covering a broader range than a social work degree, like counseling and so on? It's rather interdisciplinary in nature, but my M.A. is basically light on the counseling. My particular interest is in social and community services. I had been looking at the EdD in organizational leadership from NCU as a first choice (for a position as a K-12 principal or even a super). However, the Human Services specialization would be helpful to score adjunct teaching jobs in Human Services without having to take any additional credits.
