Am I ready for Nova Southeastern MSIS?

Most Capella and NCU (and probably Nova) doctorates who you find teaching at traditional colleges earned their doctorates after getting hired. Many colleges will hire certain positions that are hard to fill with masters-only candidates, but they expect a doctorate (from anywhere) in order to receive promotion and tenure. Naturally, the distance learning schools are the main choice of these people.

 

Nova Southeastern university is not in the same league as Capella and NCU. Aside from similar high tuition practices, Nova is much superior, and a well respected B & M school with full-time professors who teach on-campus in the day time. A degree from Nova does not face probing questions, nor do graduates of Nova feel the need to constantly defend the school or their decision to attend the school. On the contrary, Capella and NCU are constantly facing these issue, and as such, can't be ranked with Nova. Under no circumstances should any B & M school be ranked alongside an online-only school. Sorry.
