Blatantly offensive, but also extremely confusing. After reading the article multiple times, I still can't figure out what point he's trying to make or what the KKK has to do with anything he's talking about. Sounds to me like a guy whose losing his mind.
C'mon MC, getting engaged has fogged your thinking. I'll lay it out for you 1) There are people in the Republican party that are really Democrats and they only want to tax and spend which makes them socialist/communists. 2) Some people are not responsible. 3) Freed slaves, wearing borrowed clothes, like to ride horses at night. 4) Democrats are at fault for WWI, WWII, the Korean War, the Viet Nam War and the war in the Middle East. 5) They also ended the draft. 6) The KKK (presumably a bunch of "right-thinking" people) should ride up to Washington DC and fix everything. It's all just common sense, no?
I Didn't know that ... So this means that the now black editor is working for a racist. But it is still a good reason for not criminalizing racist speech. Let the racists speak. === Freedom of speech and the free market are still the best vehicles for dealing with racism, and somewhat with discrimination.
“I do not buy the concept, popular in the ’60s, which said, ‘We have suppressed the black man for 300 years and the white man is now far ahead in the race for everything our society offers. In order to even the score, we must now give the black man a head start, or even hold the white man back, to even the race.’ I don’t buy that.” At first glance, it looks Trumpian. But it is not, it was Biden.
update . . . I'm shocked that it hasn't gone well for the new editor https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2019/03/17/black-editor-resigns-newspaper-called-kkk-ride-again/3194072002/
