Ahh - once again the Cons are showing their partisanship

    grgrwll,

    I wasn't necessarily defending any of the assumptions, just stating why I thought in general Delay was being afforded more assumption of innocence than OJ was.

    I think I have a pretty good handle on the information, but my personal reasons for giving Delay the benefit of the doubt are:

    1) I am not 100% convinced that are no political axes to grind here. (I was one of the few conservatives outspoken about the money Starr was spending on Clinton impeachment, so I have been consistent in being suspicious about political motivations)

    2) I am not downplaying my party persuastion. I want "my side" to do the right things and be the "good guys", so perhaps my opinions are shaded in that direction, but I don't think that is a bad thing. That doesn't mean I blindly support the Republican party, but because I support them, I am not as likely to jump on the condemnation wagon as the left might be.

    I think that is a pretty honest evaluation of my position. No hatred, no racism, no partisanship.
