I'm looking for a 6 month to 1 year African Studies program: a certificate, diploma, or degree are all fine; graduate level preferred. I'd like to broadly understand the continent's history, culture, and contemporary society (or at least of a large region of Africa). I thought the University of South Africa (UNISA) would be an affordable choice, but it appears that they require a BA in the subject for a BA Honors, and a BA Honors in the subject for graduate-level study. Do you know of any programs?
Here's something that might help. I don't know anything (quality/accreditation, etc.) about the second listing.
