    Yeah, sorry. Somehow it was open when I first ran into it. It's basically a story about how professors are stealing the research performed by their grad students, taking credit for it and not giving any credit to the student. I don't think this is new or rare but it's getting more attention lately.

    There was an episode related to this on Shameless, a few years ago. I’ve never seen it occur or experienced it at a research institution. However, I’m sure there are isolated cases that occur, and that is truly unfortunate. Not having read through the article (paywall), is this related to outright intellectual theft or the ethically dubuious practice of inserting additional names as co-authors?
