Abide University Honorary Doctors Degree

I heard this University went viral on RedNote (Chinese: Xiao Hong Shu) after being promoted by agents.

No sure if the team running the website offers a hard copy of my "honorary degree" with a fancy transcript after I paid some fees. If Yes, it explains.

 

This reminds me of an article from the Toronto Star in 2008: Phony degree scam exposed. Many Chinese international students plan to return to China and are unlikely to need to verify their degree in the way some Western employers do. Their parents paid for the education and they want to see a parchment on the wall - the actual education is secondary.

 

I don't think this doctorate is phony. It says "honorary" right on the diploma. It doesn't represent any particular level of educational achievement or subject matter expertise.

Just think of all the DEI baggage it DOESN'T come with!

Out of curiosity, how did you manage to get a Doctor of Digital Media option? The only two doctoral options I have are the Doctor of Philosophy and the Doctor of Divinity:
