A good option, especially for Pentecostals and Charismatics. Since it's a DMin, it's also a better option for the Anglophone world where this degree is more likely to be recognized. Furthermore, the live online classes are also more suitable for specific time zones.

    Pre-requisites for the DMin include:
    1. Successful completion of an accredited MDiv degree with a 3.0 minimum G.P.A., unless granted provisional acceptance.

    2. The MDiv must be a minimum of 72 semester hours.

    3. At least 3 years of full-time or bi-vocational ministry experience.

    4. Must be currently engaged in ministry either full-time or bi-vocationally
"Bridges Christian College & Seminary provides two options regarding classroom delivery: Live Web Presentation (synchronous) Plus Threaded Discussion, and Recorded Presentation (asynchronous) Plus Threaded Discussion. Both delivery methods must require the same amount of time. At the beginning of each trimester, students must designate the delivery method for which they will participate. Students who randomly miss a live class will be counted absent if the instructor/activity leader is not notified of a student’s decision to take the web forum class, at least one hour before the scheduled class. An excused absence will be given at the discretion of the instructor/activity leader. The only exception to this rule applies to the doctoral program, which only has live (synchronous) classes plus threaded discussion."

How exactly would “bi-vocational” be defined here?

When you're clergy at a church that's too small to support you financially, so you also have a day job, typically in the secular world.

It's too bad no accredited university/institute offers a PhD (non religious, liberal arts) degree for $800 per semester. That would be worth enrolling in.

South African institutions occasionally get mentioned here because that's pretty much their price point.

Their master's degree programs are $500 per trimester. That's cheaper than Nation University's $450 per quarter. All of Bridge's master's programs require at least one practicum; the MDiv requires two.
