My mailbox is clean. Send away. Really? So I don't need the Chief's Ominous Dominous to get the discount? That's really REALLY great news. I'm calling NCU tomorrow.

This is true. My department will not sign any agreements at this time, but NCU still offers the law enforcement discount to sworn personnel regardless. You just have to show proof of your employment status with copies of your pay stubs.

As stated, you can't beat $285.00 per credit hour at NCU. I've done a lot research and you can't find a better deal.

I will call tomorrow. If this is the case, that's a no brainer.

I also got the discount as a firefighter and did not have to have my administration sign anything. I just provided a copy of my dept. ID.

You are right $285.00 is a no-brainer - hopefully you have tuition reimbursement at your dept. I am going to finish a RA DBA in Homeland Security and my only out-of-pocket costs will be my books and the dissertation fees.

Great news........I still qualify for the discount. However I have a new concern.

With an undergrad in CJ.........are they going to require that I remediate in statistics and accounting? I've never taken either.

How tough is their graduate statistics course.......this one looks daunting. I generally suck with numbers......which is why I'm a cop, not a CPA.

The DBA does not require statistics but you will need to take an accounting/finance course. I had never taken an accounting or finance course before this program, so I took "Managerial Accounting for Decision Making" because it looked the least threatening out of the three options. I found it challenging but not impossible.

Statistics is, however, required for the PhD and the MBA. Personally, I didn’t find it hard but, then again, if I had never had statistics before, it would have been a pain.

Any good books on learning statistics? I looked at statistics for dummies....... I'm a big for dummies fan.
