He went from talking about MBA enrollment to taking jabs at Liberty. How shameful and poorly written.
To me it looked like he cited a bunch of facts. I'm not sure how that is shameful. I'm sorry that your binkie got slammed
There are some areas where I disagree with him. Requiring live classes and campus visits could make it impossible for some to complete the program, so they won't even bother to apply. He misses the draw of 100% online programs with asynchronous courses. A lot of schools require discussion board posts, even top schools. The discussion boards at University of Florida aren't too bad because my classmates are pretty intelligent. The best ones I engaged in were at Angelo State University. There were debates at the Alamo Community Colleges, but so many of the students read below the 5th grade level and wrote even worse. The worst discussion boards were at the for-profit schools. I think everyone was just tired at the for-profit schools because they required so much busy work, and we were required to write long discussion posts for stupid prompts. Having a 90% - 100% acceptance rate does not make a school a diploma mill. The author makes good points at the end. You can complete an AACSB-accredited program at an unknown public school for less. You can go to a more prestigious school with AACSB accreditation for about the same price.
The author is somewhat correct about Liberty discussion board. It was mild, which was to my benefit. I concluded it was politeness, but it could have also been everyone doing the minimum to pass. At another institutional, similar to what the author preferred; the discussion board was nuts. A few people posted so much that it forces everyone to do more. It was not a pleasant experience.
