    John:

Did you do the Lancaster "MAVE" program? I have been hoping they might offer the "Genetics, Culture, and Society" program by DL.

I remember, from 20+ years ago, being told by someone at what was then the University of the State of New York, that they'd had a student who met their 120-unit total by taking forty 3-unit correspondence courses from forty different universities. Perhaps they were hoping to get in the Guinness Book?

I haven't done distance learning yet, because it's not appropriate for what I want to do at this time. I'm seriously considering taking a few courses from Georgia Tech's distance learning program for the MSEE.

(and I wouldn't have know about the Ga. Tech program if not for Dr. Bear's book, which I got because I knew something was a circular slide rule. Go figure. )

    To Oherra/Jason

My wife attended Lanier Tech...did you attend in person or GVTC?
My wife was in the diploma program and moved across the street to Gainesville College when she finished at Lanier (Early Childhood Education). Lanier is a good school and my wife enjoyed going there.
