I have no clue what or who or why "intellinews.com" is, so the source isn't much better. Anyhoo, Minister Sad Horseface of Mordor is not a reliable source either. "A professional liar said a thing" is not news; khuylo regime is pushing its narratives in any way it can.
Moldova can be an interesting topic for discussion. For example, can Maya Sandu's pro-Western government survive long enough to make real progress towards EU membership?

Hi LevelUP, if you read the whole thread then you may find that the highly credible MediaBiasFactCheck was the basis and is very concrete proof supporting those statements including the statements about OANN and Newsmax. I did not directly link the MBFC assessments of OANN and Newsmax though. If you'd like help figuring out how to do that then just ask.

He suggests no such thing. A little common sense suggest that, yes, combining approaches is the way to go here, even if most of us are loo lazy / not holy enough to consistently do that.

Burn! Had I said that, I would be accused of an ad hominem attack on Mr. Fout. You are right, though; there is no evidence that Charles Fout has any interest in truth of what he's posting; neither did I state that he has. That what "if" means.

Well the Sun is bright, water's wet, and RT is a tool for thought control. Evidence is abound for anyone who has a goal of having accurate discernment.

Thanks, Cap'n Obvious. NO analogy reflects a situation with 100% accuracy; doesn't mean it's not a useful communication tool.

    1. Well, rooting for an enemy is not very consistent with patriotism, now is it?
    2. It sure seems that way. This is why I try to clarify what he meant when he seemingly used "Peace Corps Country" as a degrading label.
    3. Referring to khyulo's russia as "Mordor" is a long standing meme originating from russia's own pro-democracy opposition. Khuylo's Munich speech is not an analogy at all; that dime-store Sauron literally made a speech a few years back, a speech that many regard his "hybrid war" declaration on the West and laying out faux historical justifications for the same. These are basic facts anyone trying to discuss geopolitics involving khuylo should know.
    4. No it doesn't.

"Suggesting? No! Flat out telling you", (c) Ben Affleck in Dogma. The poster reads and reposts nonsense; literally, a Newspeak duckspeak (look it up) that has no meaning other than thought control. Eg. "X is a new anti-russia".

"Tell me you're in IT without telling me".

Ukraine and Moldova are dear countries to me.
Ukraine a country I love, I was born there and had wonderful childhood in my city of Chernivtsi
And my father is from Besarabia. I studied in Pridnestrovie for 5 years, I have relatives in Moldova.
When father was born his village was Romania, after WW2 it ended up on a border between Romania and Soviet Moldavia, his family ended up on the Soviet side and many including him relocated after the war to Ukraine.
As former Soviet I don't remember any tensions or disrespect between Russians and Ukrainians in those days, many intermarried.
Last decade or more I look at what is happening in disbelieve

    Good stuff.

Cool. This would mean, incidentally, that you have a fairly decent claim to a EU citizenship. Romania and Hungary recognize citizenship by descent.

Many of us do. Which doesn't mean what happens now doesn't have deep, DEEP historical roots.

Nor should it. An analogy is used when examining the workings of one phenomenon will be helpful in understanding the other. People objecting are often confusing an analogy with a simile or an example.

It doesn't violate the terms of service, it's just a reference to this thread containing a lot of argument.

And while we're on the subject, while we're happy to consider reports of posts that violate the terms of service, we're frankly a little tired of frivolous reports of any and every post you merely dislike.

y'all wilding, you need to calm down.

This thread is like the Titanic if it had hit four icebergs instead of one, surprised it stayed afloat.

--- Maybe there's even a title -- or (gasp) a Throne in it. You never know. "His Excellency, Lerner, 28th Duke of Transylvania..." Has a nice ring to it. A heavy, gold one, I'd think. Just as long as he's not related to that OTHER Vlad - Dracul, a.k.a. Count Dracula. That would uh... suck, I guess.

BRUSSELS (AP) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Thursday that his country has intercepted plans by Russian secret services to destroy Moldova

Speaking to European Union leaders in Brussels, Zelenskyy said he recently told Moldovan President Maia Sandu about the alleged scheme.

“I have informed her that we have intercepted the plan of the destruction of Moldova by the Russian intelligence," Zelenskyy said through a translator.

Zelenskyy said the documents showed “who, when and how" the plan would "break the democracy of Moldova and establish control over Moldova."

Zelenskyy said the plan was very similar to the one devised by Russia to take over Ukraine. He added that he did not know whether Moscow ultimately ordered the plan to be carried out.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov charged last week that the West was considering turning Moldova into “another Ukraine.” He alleged that the West backed the 2020 election of the pro-Western Sandu, claiming that she is eager to take the country into NATO, merge Moldova with Romania and “practically is ready for anything.”

Obviously, Putin's toady-boy, sycophant (and I'm sycoph him) Lavrov doesn't understand two things:

    (1) We (the West) may like, or not like, the results of free, democratic elections. But they are free and democratic - so we don't manipulate them. Maybe Russia does. Lesson for Lavrov and his boss, here.

    (2) Why wouldn't we like Maia Sandu's NATO ambitions for her country? We're NATO members. Moldova and Romania? Wasn't it all Romania, before Russia grabbed a piece of Romania in WW2 and renamed it the Moldavian SSR? Same language -- same culture. I'm a fan of "Romanian" models. Since I got interested in fashion, I've seen a lot of pics and read a lot of bio's etc. Half of them are Moldovan. I can't tell the difference. All lovely. :) And all with beautiful, mellifluous names, like Catrinel (Menghia) and Alina (Vacariu, Puscau & others).

Lavrov has a lot of hot air. Russia is pretty well out of everything else. He's vehemently accusing us of ---- nothing, and trying to make it something. A creature like him should not be out in daylight. Just thinking about him makes me "practically ready for anything."

Dang the timer. I meant "He (Lavrov) is accusing us and Maia Sandu of --- nothing, and trying etc."

Salvador Allende would like a word.

But generally it's not so overt, yes.

Sorry - somehow I posted this in the "Dancing with the Devil" thread. Hopefully it makes more sense here:

True, Steve - every word. Only excuses I can think of:

    (1) It was 50 years ago. (Not a good excuse.)
    (2) Nixon was President and gave the orders. (Not a good excuse for ANYTHING)

    Good account on wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_intervention_in_Chile#:~
The "Allende Presidency" section is quite a story - but so is the rest.

Some of the combatants are clearly American movie actors. The original had Asians in dark suits. It's clearly the Parliament of Taiwan. I think I've seen the original fights on the 11 O'clock News a few times. :)
