There's a thread of logic in there that I don't quite get. You statement above could be rephrased, "If I'm going to go into debt then I may as well go into a LOT of debt. As for alternatives, when it comes to Social Sciences you have many options to choose from.

I will look into Harvard but I'm not willing or able to get there for anytime. Everything must be done online. I live in Arkansas and work full time. It's not a feasible option. Though I wish it were.

I think you all make some valid arguments that are actually swaying my decision. DePaul is starting to look like a frontrunner right now because they are giving me a scholarship. I requested more info from HES and will see what I can find out. Keep the suggestions coming!

The degree needs 128-130 credits. You will probably lose at least a few credits from your associates degree (that almost always happens). My bet is that you will need to complete 70 credits at a minimum. So figure that you will spend AT LEAST $70,000 on the NYU bachelor's, and that is only if you take at least 12 credits per semester. Because of their tuition scale, if you take less than that per semester, you will spend about $87,500.

These amounts sound crazy. Are there any ways to get scholarships for online programs if you simply cannot pay such big fees?

It's not feasible to fly to Boston a few times for a couple of days but spending $70K at NYU sounds like a good idea? Your so busy at work that they don't ever give you a weekend off?

Why not just enjoy in-state tuition and take the online degree at ASU? Distance Learning Programs | Arkansas State University Online

DePaul is a good school. It is still a little high in terms of cost, but is better than NYU. With your scholarship, do you know how much money total that you expect to spend for your bachelor's at DePaul? An additional recommendation I have is to avoid at all cost PRIVATE student loans. These have all of the bad sides of government sponsored student loans (no ability to discharge after bankruptcy), but non of the good sides (low interest rates, income based repayment, etc).

rebel100's ASU suggestion is a good option as well. I know that it may not seem as prestigious as DePaul, but it is certainly cheaper (unless you are getting great scholarships from DePaul). Also, even though DePaul MAY be considered the better university. I am certain that ASU has the stronger network and career center for jobs in Arkansas than DePaul does. Now if you were planning on moving to Chicago immediately after graduation, my recommendation would be different. Are you planning on leaving Arkansas after graduation?

I found out I was accepted into both DePaul and SNHU today! As for the cost of DePaul after scholarships I'm not sure. I still have to do my FASA as well. As for ASU it doesn't have the type of program I want. And in terms of leaving Arkansas if I could leave tomorrow I'd be on the first thing smoking! I'm hoping one of these colleges will have to alumni networking for careers in other more desirable locales.

I just spoke to a representative from Antioch University and their program in Human Services sounds really awesome and its half what a degree from DePaul or SNHU would cost. Each class is like $750. But I think their a new to online learning so I'm not sure if they have all the kinks out yet.

As anyone had any experience with Antioch University?

I have ruled out Drexel and NYU. NYU was a pipe dream.

The only thing that I know about Antioch University is that they have been in the distance learning arena for much longer than DePaul. IIRC, DePauls foray into distance learning was sometime in the mid-2000's. Antioch had a distance learning master's program at least as far back as the 90's (it is listed in my "Bear's Guide" for 1998).

Is HES completely online, or will it require class room as well?
