The MSM program is part of the Metropolitan College of BU.
I'm not sure what MET's relationship to BU's accrediting org NCA is. All I can say is that BU explicitly and upfront said that the degree itself wasn't accredited.
I take it as such that the fact that the MSM is always done outside America by BU and who ever they tag up with, that BU doesn't care about American accreditation for thedegree.
BU and the other parties are just concerned with the reputation of the institutions granting the degree.
Any further questions, direct them to BU.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: How true ...

MSM from what I can tell wasn't accredited at all. But the significant thing in "Business 2.0's" article "What's an MBA Worth" is that the AACSB thinks that MBA education needs to be revamped but that the business schools won' t do it.
That's where I can come in because I've been reading articles like this and I'm planning (in addition to the certiificate and my other courses) to offer education, testing and training that'll
help individuals and companies to survive in the increasingly complex environment that the American business scene is becoming.
Harvard isn't going to revamp it's staple business school's method of doing things. Don't expect them to. They have a product and it's what they offer.
The real thing besides education, is identification of who is a good candidate for leading a corporation or starting his own business. So many people who shouldn't even bother to start a business do so because they want to be "their own man". It doesn't work for everyone.
Some people need more training, some people need to really look at themselves hard. For example, "do you usually get your own way?' is one good question. "Do people feel energized around you?" is another. "Are you a magnetic personality".
When I was at AT&T managers were rated by their subordinates based on questions like these.

(Question) Is the degree I earn at Metropolitan College a Boston University degree?

Yes. Metropolitan College, as part of Boston University, is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, one of six nationally recognized regional accrediting agencies. When you successfully complete a degree program with us, you receive a diploma stating that you have earned your degree at Boston University Metropolitan College.

    Also re the Belgium MSM

Through Boston University's Department of Administrative Sciences, Boston University Brussels is pleased to offer the following graduate, certificate, and diploma programs:
Master of Science (MS) in Administrative Studies, with concentrations in:
    e-Commerce
    Multinational Commerce
Master of Science (MS) in Management

Based on this info I doubt if anyone would question your use of MSM here in the USA

If the diploma states Boston University I believe Ian is correct. It is still confusing that Richard was told directly that it was an uaccredited degree. Perhaps the diploma was NOT issued by BU but the other institution.

The diploma clearly states BU/BGU joint program

This seems to be confusing everyone, but the diploma clearly states BU/BGU joint MSM program.

This real funny, normally we have people in this forum defending their degree and for the first time we have some one telling us that he has an unaccredited degree and now here we are telling him that is accredited.

If "Boston University" is on the diploma, I would wager that NEASC has given the joint program its blessing. BU is a highly respected institution, and I seriously doubt they would lend their name to an unaccredited degree program.

Just to be sure, I've e-mailed NEASC for a clarification.

    Trying to do Capella PHD

I'm signing up for the Capella PHD program. And I have all my computer equipment set up to shoot my business courses. I should be rolling in a few weeks on both.

If you wouldn't mind sharing your thoughts, it would be interesting to know what other Ph.D. programs besides Capella that you considered and why you choose Capella.

I raise the point because Touro University International has a truly excellent Ph.D. in Business Administration program that is generating some outstanding researchers. (Yes, I am enrolled in the program, but am humbly referring to my fellow students... :) )

    Best wishes,

    Dave

I will be interested in reading some of the articles generated by these outstanding researchers if you don't mind sharing. Any reference to any publication? I haven't found none so far

Dave said, "...is generating some outstanding researchers." That's present tense. Stay tuned...

    What journals do you read?

    Cheers,

I am in the part-time DBA at ESC Grenoble ($8400 per year, 3 years, program in English, one week residency at main campus, EQUIS accredited, Grand Ecole, etc.). It is a great program and I am enjoying it very much.

The university has indicated they may expand the pilot program (there are 24 from the U.S. in the program now) if you want more information please feel free to email me.
