Yes. Example - Georgetown has a Doctor of Liberal Studies. Is that close enough to a Doctor of Liberal Arts?
Here's a list of doctoral programs in interdisciplinary studies: Association for Integrative Studies |Docroral Programs Directory I don't know whether any of these are offered via distance or not though.
You beat me by a minute Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies | Doctoral Degree ? Adult Distance Learning ? Low Residency Ph.D.
A plus of this program, residencies in Newport would be something to look forward to. Amazing little town.
Georgetown University's Doctor of Liberal Arts is not easy to get in. The acceptance rate is less than 10%, most of the selected candidates have years in experience and high profile. Such as LtGen in the Marine Corps, somebody has a Ph.D, a Director student services at Georgetown, and etc.
UNISA offers a plethora of doctorate programs, none specifically named humanities or liberal arts but probably one of them aligns with the topic(s) you're interested in studying: UNISA University distance learning College of Human Sciences Arts and Humanities - Doctoral Program
Thanks emmzee. I'll check out UNISA. Edit: Just checked the link, but these are doctorates in individual subjects, which is not what I'm looking for.
