    Islamic Insurance "Takaful"

    Islamic Insurance "Takaful"
Basically the individual pays a contribution into a pooled fund which is then invested in Sharia-compliant investments and any profits are put back into the fund.
Claims are paid from the fund, and if there is any extra cash left at the end of the year, it's distributed as a discount for the next year's premium.

There is a proliferation of new companies offering Takaful insurance due the very high demand; Traditional insurance & reinsurance companies have also entered the market and set up Takaful operations.

The Corporate Finance MSc at University of Liverpool/Laureate offers Islamic Banking as a elective module. Eventually, only the single course can be taken...?
