Which school are you attending that "has a great reputation in colorado, kansas and a few other surrounding states"? Both UIUC and UW have strong reputations nationwide, not limited to a few western states. Just last month you were "looking at" a program for grad school.

To help you troll more effectively, please note that I've never heard anyone who went to Illinois refer to Urbana. It's normally "Illinois" or sometimes UIUC. Likewise, I've never heard a UW grad specify Madison. It would be like an Ohio State grad saying, "The Ohio State University-Columbus". If you went to the flagship, there's typically no need to specify the campus.

Trolls come on here to test out the waters, once they get call out, the best tactics is to ignore them, I can remember recently a poster name "pizza" that indicated in the signature line or implied that graduated from Baker College DBA, simply was call out as a lie(well sort of), because the program just recently launched and it was impossible for him or her graduate from that program yet.

For you trolls and spammers out there, we are watching you, this is not your domain, you will be confronted with the truth and ignored as the trolls you are, people in this forum do not have a short term memory and do not forget easily.

He had another recently lunched online program in his signature block - an M.S. in Environmental Management from Webster. It went online in Jun 08.

    It was good stuff.

I don't know if Excelsior's MBA is good or bad, but at just over $410/credit, it's not the bargain their undergrad degree is. If I had that much to spend, I'd try to spend a little more and get AACSB or a local connection. Or go to Chadron State College and be done in a year, for less money. Just the same I'm glad they offer it. It probably meets some people's needs.

Ouch. At 48 credits, that price is very steep for a RA-only MBA. There's several AACSB 30-credit programs that charge more per credit, yet end up a good deal cheaper. If locality matters to you, I believe UMass-Lowell and Marist both come in cheaper, while being AACSB.

Okay, it does seem that Rich's most recent post here was 11-28-08. But if he doesn't respond to a PM here, you might be able to find him over at degreediscussion.com.

    Randyp,

It's ok if you are jealous that I went to a few actual universities. I'm currently living in kansas taking night courses for another degree, then I'd like to possibly pursue another master's.

Odd, I thought it was Kansas. I would expect someone with a B.S. and M.Ed. to know basic grammar.

But I wouldn't expect someone who went to Excelsior to have a very high reading comprehension.

    It's a BA in Soc.

Haha, Excelsior. "Harvard of the Interwebz". LOL. It's not a even a ranked school. LULZ

Yeah, I guess. Not sure what the value-add is though. Perhaps he/she provides us with a well needed laugh??

Or a strong dose of reality. Oh wait, none of you distance learners would know anything about that. LOL.

saiga is kind of like that grumpy old grandfather that you see every Christmas. You know, the grandfather that says lots of really inappropriate and crass comments, but at the end of the day, everyone still loves him...

Now that is an ironic statement. Who would have a greater sense of reality; someone that lives off (and often with) mommy and daddy and spends their time at keggers, firing off knuckle children during their off days from Taco Bell or someone that has a full time job in their field of study, more often than not have dependents of some sort, and in many instances are serving in the military.

My question is, if you are superior to those of us that earned distance degrees, why do you hang out in these forums? Were you rejected by your peers? Did your parents hang a pork chop around your neck so the dog would play with you? Its okay, seriously it is. When the truth comes out that your 19 and failed out of your local CC we will be more than happy to help you get started at one of the big three.

lol. I'm 26 and have been working for PBS for the last 4 years. The pork chop joke was kinda/sorta funny back when I was 14. Keep trying, but I wouldn't count on taking that show on the road anytime soon.

I went to Illinois Central College and got my associates degree in general studies back when I was 20. You know what they say about ASSumptions.
