thanks to the members of this forum! I have been approved to receive my BS in Liberal Studies from Excelsior. I would not have known of the option, nor the means to complete it, if not for this group. I transferred in over 100 hours from a university that I left many years ago, changed my degree plan to Liberal Studies with two areas of focus (my old major and minor), took the Information Literacy course, opened a credit bank at TESC, and finished up with seventeen FEMA courses.

It was so gratifying to finish something I foolishly abandoned and assumed was lost to me forever. I have enjoyed reading your success stories, and hope someone out there will be inspired by mine! I apologize if this post turns up twice, as I have had trouble posting here.

It is wonderful to hear of success...

It is wonderful to hear of your successes. Congratulations on the degree.

More importantly, congratulations on deciding to go back to school and seeing that decision through.

Everyone at Degreeinfo wishes you the best of luck in your professional, academic, and personal life(s).

As you can tell, we argue and discuss distance learning like a group of brilliant but insane children but are truly family. Only those who have looked for education and opportunity will take the time to post answers to other's questions and listen to each other's opinions.

Let us know how things go for you. TESC is a great option as you discovered.

Congrats, Wilder! I am right behind you; I will finish my BSL from Excelsior in July. When I found this forum I had 6 units and now three years later, I will be done and moving on to a master's program.

Boy does this sound familiar. I had 90+ hours going in. Really only needed the 30 upper level hours, but I did some extra business credits for a Admin/Management Area of Focus. Feels good to finally be done almost 20 years after starting. I am up for the May 18 conferral at Excelsior. Thanks to all who gave me advice on this board.

Congratulations of on your degree. I will be walking across the stage in 4 weeks, having completed my BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Governors State University. The success stories and resources found on this board are some of the biggest motivating factors in my completion. Learning about TESC, COSC, and Excelsior and resources like CLEP and DANTES gave me all that I needed to complete what I stopped short of 13 years ago. Again, congrats on your success.
