When all the other schools on the list are less than wonderful one may think that this maybe another entity with the same name.
We all heard of LaSalle in Florida - legitimate and LaSalle that its operators went to jail, the same goes for number of Diploma Mills
by the name of Washington, National University diploma Mills wile there is National University in CA fully legitimate and accredited.
My sarcastic allegation was based on the logic of all the other listed entities and the possibility of fake WGU that can begin any time.

    As stated before
This WGU is fully accredited Nationally and Regionally.

Glad to hear it, Brewster, and I'm very glad that the disinformation attempt failed miserably and is being disowned (big surprise, that). Thank you for the link to the other thread and welcome aboard. Best of luck to you in your studies at WGU.

How something that never took place failed.
It was only in your imagination that it was disinformation attempt.
Your accusation is baseless and in the realm of imaginary or Paranoia, cheap shot at me that exposes you for what you are.

I recognize these tactics as the same used by Politburo propoganda machine.

    c'mon guys, cool it

I just want to say that I think the intellectual fueds on here are pointless.....I think that uncle jacko and lerner both have legitimate arguments on the ins and outs of distance learning, especially about WGU. However, after reading your posts, I would find nothing useful about my current course of study if I had relied on this "fued" to supply my information. I mean nothing personal toward either of you, of course.

The point of this entire website is to make things easier for people who want to achieve their career goals and better themselves through distance learning. I am amazed at the extent of silly gobblygoob on here that appears to be an attempt to flex small biceps via keyboard by putting each other down.

Let's be constructive, guys. If I hadn't come across this very same information board on WGU on this site, I wouldn't be achieving my career goals right now. I owe what I'm doing right now to the WGU student who posted his experience on here, and I found his information to be accurate.

If WGU isn't for you, fine. They are doing something that hasn't been tried before, and they have improved their program along the way by changing things as they go along.

I work for a public school, and I know that it costs massive dollars to hire quality people. Even the receptionist that answers the phone will cost you 50 grand a year once benefits are included, so let's not be so critical that WGU isn't as perfect as Harvard in its first decade of existance. The bottom line is that I will have to truly learn the material before I graduate, and that's what will make me an asset to my future employers, not the name of the college I went to.

Please, please, please....try to use your posts to tell your experiences about distance learning so you can help people attain the path that I have attained, even if it's with a different school. Please don't use this website to argue stupid points because you've already pissed off everybody at your local Starbucks and you have nobody else to argue with.

I don't like coffee. Or democratic centralism.

I will certainly try to help people attain the path you have attained.
I can think of no higher purpose for my drab and wretched life.
"What can I do today to help the toiling masses be more like Comrade Brewster?"
Comrades! Workers and peasants! This will be our watchword!

    Oh. By the way.
    This is not mediaeval times.
I am not someone you watch on TV.

    It's f-e-u-d.
    It's J-a-n-k-o.

And I have never been in a Starbucks in my life, young man.

And, and, I like Lerner better than I like you. Or Oprah. Or Dr Phil.

    Have a swell day.

You are probably being too charitable by calling the feuds 'intellectual'.

    Can't argue with that.

Ironically, I think that all of our pugilists approve of WGU as well. The school simply provided them with an occasion to do whatever it is that they are doing.

    I agree.

Ok it's too early for my eyes to be reading this. I don't drink coffee and have been in Starbucks at least a half dozen times not to mention Coffee People, Seattle's Best, etc., etc. It just boggles my mind but perhaps the midwest embraced caffeine the way the NW has! :D

Uncle Janko, I concede that you're the best

Janko, sorry I misspelled your name. I'm normally a grate spellerr, but I was in a hurry. Plus, I was getting a lap dance from the 18 year-old twins who live across the street, so I guess I had to prioritize a bit. Send cash quick, I'm fresh out of ones.

    It's M-e-d-i-e-v-a-l.

I guess that since you're so sure I'm a young man, that would make you an old one. Just speculation on this end, though.

Your vocabulary is impressive, I reviewed a lot of your other posts. I needed a dictionary, thesarus, and a concordance (acknowledgement of your diety) to translate it, with the help of my 4 year-old sister, of couse. The intellect that you have at your command is awe-inspiring, which probably serves you well at the Star Trek conventions. Please post pictures of you in your Klingon outfit, if you have time.

I'll bet the chicks really dig you. How do you find time for all of them when so many of us on this site are counting on you to guide us to the light? Thanks for making that sacrifice for us day after day. You unselfishly said no to a job, friends, and family just so you could make sure that we would be make it. On behalf of all of us, thank you.

As for everyone else, I'm sorry that this thread has turned into another insult session, and that the intent of sharing information to make each other's lives better has given way to silliness.

By the way, I agree with what you initially said. Lerner had good points too. Not that it matters, since we're not best friends anymore.

How long are the "powers that be" going to continue allowing Uncle Janko to be viciously attacked, barbarically insulted, sadistically maligned, ferociously berated, mercilessly defamed, and subtly ridiculed?

Lerner: Certainly you can't be too surprised that your post in the other thread certainly appeared to be a disinformation attempt, inasmuch as WGU is most assuredly a legitimately accredited university. If you were not attempting to pee on our legs and tell us it's raining, perhaps you will be willing to tell us what it was that you were doing.

How long you will defend some one who makes false allegations in order to discredit another person on this site?

Don't tell me you don't see the real reason for this post.

He didn't need to call someone a lie or dis-informer directly but indirectly he accused me of disiinformatiion and failed to address the link and the real issue.

I protested in my way, and your bias is noted as well.
I'm shocked to find this behaviour from a man of god or in the service of god - God realy know who are his man.

I will be happy to see this tread closed because from the beginning the motive was a personal attack in disguise.

    (1) Actually, it's g-r-e-a-t and s-p-e-l-l-e-r (only one "r").

    (2) Actually, the spelling on this one is optional: either M-e-d-i-a-e-v-a-l or M-e-d-i-e-v-a-l. With the two a's is an older nineteernth century spelling that old geezers like me prefer.

    Done.

And more than one person who participated in this thread should watch his/her email inbox for a gentle admonition from a moderator.
