Despite Dave's admonitions I'm having a bit of fun with this. One thing I've noticed is that neither Learner nor Azad has made a clear, unambiguous denial of the Learner=Azad thesis (which is only a theory). You would think that both would have come up with such denials immediately but, in fact, neither has done so. Of course, now that I've raised the issue both are certain to make these denials but what will it matter at that point. Secondly, I'd like to point out that Learner has offered no explanation as to why he answered a post that was clearly meant for Azad. You'd expect that too, wouldn't you?

Hmm. Just out of curiosity, what sort of evidence does on look for in positing a theory that A = B (screen name)? What is the specific evidence for the alleged Lerner = Azad equation?

While I'd wholeheartedly agree with Gregg that Ted is far from stupid, I would agree with the general idea that Ted has asked a question to which he already knows the answer. My old Dad taught me, "Don't ask questions when you already know the answers. People might form an opinion as to your intelligence."
Of course, it's possible that Ted's question is just a distraction. After all, he might be "in on it." Ted could be Azad. Ted could be Learner. Ted could be both. It's a conspiracy! Okay, Asakazad responded to something that was directed at Lerner as if he was Lerner. Then someone said "Oh you must have forgot which alias you were logged in as, Asakazad = Lerner."

If the IP addresses are the same (can only be checked by moderators) then they are definitely that same person or at least posting from the same ISP. However, if they are different it can mean that the person has two ISPs. In that case you can't tell for sure but you could tell that they are from the same area (assuming that the person isn't calling long distance to get to a different ISP server).

Another important tidbit is that it is agaisnt the terms of service that one has multiple aliases and the moderators do typically check for these and ban people with two aliases.

True enough, but there also are tools and techniques available to persons of good and ill intent, to disguise IP addresses.

Azad, being the prolific web designer/strategist for umpteen un-wonderful schools and some questionable or downright, though erstwhile, online degree/diploma mills, surely must know of a few of these tools of trickery.

Hey, it´s not important to know if they´re really the same person.

Things we know:
Yes, Lerner has posted good things about good education - in the past. But now he likes IUFS and perhaps other mills, too. The questionable Mr. Azad hasn´t tried to post any relevant important things here yet. His intention is and was only to dazzle newbies that he has changed. We know he hasn´t.
Also he tried to become a world record leader in "quick-thread-posting". But after a few threads he´s advertising for a future degree mill (Pebble Hills University, second edition).

Facts, resume:
They both try to confuse newbies and they´re advertising for diploma mills. They try to defend imaginary changes.

In the past we´ve seen what kind of people these are which try to do such things. There´s no need to ask why they do this; we must notice that they do this and make it clear to new users.

Lerner´s comparison with dogs isn´t so bad. Indeed, if somone´s going too far, we defend our range. Also we´ll stop such action. If anyone annoys a dog on its lawn, he will get in big troble then...
