Ok maybe not general distance learning, though my passing is likely a direct result of my DL Masters program. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that I took my PHR (Professional in Human Resources) exam this morning and PASSED! I was very worried because NavyCOOL (military program I used to pay for the test) stated that military personnel have a 60% fail rate on the exam. So glad I am finished and passed it. WOOOOO:banana::banana::banana::banana:
Congratulations! What were the eligibility requirements for the exam and how (and how long) did you study for it?
Its going. Applied to a few positions in the past few days that I haven't heard back on and made it to the second level in the application process for a position with the VA as a HR Specialist. One year exempt level experiences in HR with a Masters degree or 2 years exempt level HR experience with a Bachelors (that was me because I did not have a MS when I applied for the exam a few months ago). I used the HRCP study prep program and studied 2-3 hours a day 3-4 days a week for the past 3 months. The program consisted of flash cards, study booklets, and prep exams on their website.
