Needing to drive 100 miles to the nearest CLEP center was keeping me from doing these, but I've considered signing up for a few. I wish they'd indicate whether that will be a continuous thing after COVID or not, though.
Back when I was pursuing my BA, on a few occasions, I would take a 3-hour train ride, take 3 CLEPs and then take the 3 hour train ride home*. They were rough days, but I didn't have a lot of extra money, so this was my frugal way of getting the most out of my train fare. I would have absolutely murdered my degree if I had the chance to take CLEP at home. It's nice to see the next generation get a better chance. *In the snow. Barefoot. Uphill both ways.
