bennylinus, you are the one who made the blanket statement that for-profit universities are degree mills, yet you offer no substantive proof. You also said it's been "proven." Exactly where has it been proven?

    :wtf1:

And prove to me that you did not shoot President Kennedy! This is the argument of the weak - prove something did not happen.

Well that is the most pathetic attempt at a rebuttel I have ever wittnessed. I am sorry that you have some personal vendetta against for-profit universities but unless you have proof that ALL for-profit schools are degree mills you should just sit in a corner and not speak. I am unsure as to why you think all non-traditional academies are degree mills but it is truly pathetic. I am certain you are basing your opinions off of unhappy anonymous posts you have read online and likely a bad taste in your mouth because a for-profit graduate stole a job from you. Well boohoo grow the hell up.

When I was about 8 years old the same response sounded like this: "I know you are but what am I?"

benny makes a stupid claim, can't back it up and can't walk away from it either. Credibility = 0

Again, the research is there if you would just take the time to slink your girlish fingers across the keyboard long enough to find it.

Dude there is something wrong with you. How would a "degree mill" be able to hold Regional Accreditation? The definition of the degree mill is if you pay the money you get the degree but how come people have to actually work to graduate from places like AMU? A degree mill is I pay 499.99 and I get a PHD in the mail for my wall. Not I spend 2-4 years busting my ass to get a bachelors degree. I am sorry you have such a closed mind that you cannot see through your own senseless opinion to realize how foolish you look. Not all for profit universities are what you say they are.

Well, then. I am the King of the Universe. I don't need to prove it, just do a Google search and figure it out for yourself. In the meantime, you owe me back taxes.

Would you mind sharing what schools you have attended? Do you have first hand knowledge...of anything?

I did the search and you really are the King of the Universe! If no one believes me you can run your "girlish fingers across the keyboard" and find out.

    Sticks and stones, bra.

RA is cracking down on these for profits. Give it a few more years and they will all lose their accreditation. Mark it.

Where is your proof? If you know anything of the law you know that the burden of proof rests on the shoulders of the plaintiff. Being that you have brought these allegations of mismanagement and fraud forth it is on you to provide your proof. I have done the searches and I realize that there are some people whom have had bad experiences but for every 1 post I read about a For-profit that is bad I read 10+ that are good.

So if you have proof of your outlandish claims post it if not go back to your sandbox and put your helmet back on.

We will all be waiting bra

Do you always ask other people to do your homework for you?

It's almost as if you people are purposefully avoiding the truth about for-profits.

    It's quite sad.

No sir I do not. But I also do not make wild allegations without showing proof of my statements. I have done the research for months and months prior to deciding to go to a For-profit university because I was worried it would be a crock. I found that it is not. The military fully endorses many of the schools that you are calling mills. There is a large number of checks and balances that a university must meet before the office of veteran's affairs will sign off on it.

You honestly seem like a jilted child. You obviously are the type of person that just gets off on pissing off anyone he can. I guess your mommy and daddy didn't hug you as a child so you need negative attention to make you feel like you matter in this world.

My one exposure to UPhoenix actually backs up benny's point. I realize it is just one instance and does not prove anything.

I knew a woman who was attending Phoenix online for a BS. I had not become interesting in online education yet, so I knew nothing about the school other than what she told me, which was all extremely positive (and I had seen the ads, but not given them much thought). She was very excited about a paper that she had written that she thought was extremely good and wanted me and another co-worker to read it. It was bad. Very, very bad, in fact. I am certain if I turned this in for any of my undergraduate classes I would have received a failing grade. My friend, who taught at UC Davis for a while, was even more adamant that he would have failed any student who turned this paper in.

I forget her exact grade on it, but it was good, possibly an A.
