Are they in pain or are they suffering from some sort of blockage? When I go to the music store, every single rap CD cover has a grimacing dude on it. Why is that? I'm talking about black and white rappers before anyone calls me a rayciss.
That's funny But any genre that tries to be "hard", the artist(s) has that look. Grunge, hard rock from the 80s, Classical Opera (just kidding). I think the rappers today aren't even close to the look of, say, Kiss with the hardcore leather, facepaint and firebreathing. Every generation is different. (Can you imagine Mozart in leather, sporting a "grill" and considered the bad boy of classical)
Our daughter gave her nephew an iTunes card for his birthday yesterday. It was packaged (by her) in a CD album of "K.O. and the Pectates," with one of those grimacing faces on it. I honestly don't know if this is a joke or not, but it's kind of funny either way, constipation-wise.
Do any of these "rappers" qualify? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=489221653835413043 Stats is da' bomb!
Does this qualify? http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000A2H3CQ.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Or this? http://caseylartigue.blogspot.com/michael%2520jackson%20today.jpg
Its a defiant look. A gangster - Scarface wannabe - image that connects well with an angry youth population.
Resistant to conformity and compliance. Feeling rage against the machines that attempt to control them. http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2006/12/11/i_scarface_narrowweb__300x426,0.jpg
