Cruz will likely win even though no one likes him. Democrats and independents have low turnout rates in Texas. The Republicans here will always vote Republican even if they can't stand Cruz.
Unfortunately, I think you are right. What gets me is us Dems are good at showing up in the thousands for protests, but when it comes to voting we have a poor turn out. doesn't make sense.
I'm an independent. I don't protest because I have too much going on, but I vote. Texas would be purple if more Hispanics voted. That's the biggest issue. Texas is about 47% Hispanic, and most of the Hispanics here lean blue.
