White House holds press briefing in wake of Biden’s ‘garbage’ remark.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/watch-live-white-house-holds-170000919.html

"The press conference comes after President Biden sparked backlash Tuesday when he appeared to compare supporters of former President Trump to “garbage” while commenting on a racist joke a comedian made at a Trump rally days earlier calling Puerto Rico an “island of garbage.” The former president is looking to capitalize off of the gaffe."

Biden shouldn't have walked back the insult. Trump has called Harris supporters mentally ill, communists, fascists, enemies, and Marxists. I'm tired of the left apologizing to the snowflakes in the MAGA cult when they almost never apologize for their constant barrage of bigotry. The MAGA cult is garbage, and they are deplorables.

He didn't really walk back the attack. He just explained what he said with some apostrophes in different places than was assumed by some. He didn't call anyone garbage. He called what his supporter was pushing was garbage.

"Supporters" or "supporter's"? Biden comments about Trump "garbage" rally anger the GOP
    quote:
"The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters," he seemed to say. "His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable."

But the White House denied that the president had said this about Trump supporters and released a transcript with a statement noting that "supporters" was in fact "supporter's," and Mr. Biden was referring to Hinchcliffe and his joke.

In his defense, the debate showed he isn't very coherent and misspeaks alot. Either way, this is a non-issue.

Harris is courting Republican voters. Harris doesn't want to alienate/insult Republicans that might have voted for Trump in the past. We'll find out in about six days how well her strategy worked.

    She isn't. Biden is.

Not sure what state you live in but Harris has campaigned with Liz Cheney and has been playing advertisements that feature her endorsements from Republicans.

Oh, I just realized that you're probably saying Harris isn't insulting Republicans, Biden is. As you know Trump doesn't speak the truth and it just gives him more ammunition to spread lies.

If it's not an issue, why the White House held a press briefing about it?

The White House holds a press briefing almost every day, and sometimes multiple times a day. There have been 24 in the month of October so far.

And this issue got to be on such a briefing means something, not like you are trying to brush it off.
It was in the news, means it has some significance. Like the issue with floating garbage that some comedian said, not the candidate but a comedian, and it got blown out of proportions.

This is a double standard that we see all the time.
Election time is crazy and, like in a football game, every side capitalizes on any opportunity to score.

The Trump campaign reviewed his jokes prior to the KKK rally at Madison Square Garden. They approved every joke except for the one that called Harris a c*nt.

Trump has said worse. He falsely accused Haitians of eating cats and dogs, and he claims that immigrants are tainting the blood of the country. Not to mention that Trump has been calling Harris a fascist since August, and there was no outrage over that. But, when Harris stated quotes from Donald that align with Hitler's speeches and writings, the big baby MAGAts were crying.

His jokes were horrible, if one is a minority they would get offended, has bad taste.
I think I have a good humor, this was bad.
But also used to blow it out of proportions.

And, Biden calling racist Trump supporters garbage is being blown out of proportion. Biden is not even running for president. He's on his way out in a few months.

There are also racist Harris supporters and I'm sure that majority Trump supporters are not racist.
Is the media left or right racist?
Why are they mostly post images of criminals who are black, or hespanic?
I didn't conduct a study, but every time I open news page or TV, that's usually the case.
    And I'm not a racist.

What does crime reporting have to do with what I said? You make everything about Black people and Hispanics committing crime.

If you vote for such a blatant racist, then you are a racist. Even the Black Trump supporters are racist toward their own people...ahem...Mark Robinson.

I don't , It's these posts about GOP supporters all racist.
As to what I posted, that's what we see.
    Are there white gangs? Yes.
    Are there white criminals, yes.
But every time there is a robbery, or an assault, the media shows it's blacks or hespanic suspects arrested.
Not only among migrants but among Americans as well.

What is your point? Are you trying to justify MAGA's racism toward Black and Hispanic people?
