Where can I find an inexpensive "data structures and algorithms" course?

I need to take one course on "data structures and algorithms". I can take it from any school, but it must be regionally accredited and I am looking for the lowest price possible. Do you know of a school which offers such a course?

you need to have the cert or you just need the knowledge? you can use MIT Open Courseware (free) to learn, but they don't provide a cert.

Try Foothill College...it's a California CC and they offer both a Java and C++ class online, which would probably qualify for Data Structures & Algorithms, though every school is different so you may want to check with where you're transferring credit: Foothill College Home

I don't know what out-of-state tuition is, but for CA residents the class is only $100 or so.

Introduces the discipline of computer science using the C++ language; provides an overview of computer organization and an introduction to software engineering. Topics include methodologies for program design, development, style, testing and documentation, and object oriented design; algorithms, control structures, sub-programs, elementary data structures.
Four hours lecture, four hours laboratory. (96 hours total per quarter.)

An update from 2018: the information about Foothills College is still valuable. $31/unit for in-state tuition, and people who spent 3+ years in a CA high school and graduated from a CA high school qualify for in-state tuition even if they live elsewhere now. I plan to take Data Structures & Algorithms online from Charleston, SC. I'll spend $139.50 + textbook instead of $1,575 + textbook at College of Charleston. What, exactly, will I do with the $1,435.50 that I save??

Take just the classes you need and earn a certificate (150 $ per course) or the whole credential it's up to you.

Take Your Credential To The Next Level
Learners who successfully earn the Algorithms and Data Structures MicroMasters Credential are eligible to apply for admission to the School of Individualized Study (SOIS) Master of Science in Professional Studies at Rochester Institute of Technology.

If a learner applies for admission to the SOIS Master of Science in Professional Studies program at Rochester Institute of Technology and is accepted, the MicroMasters Credential will count towards 25% of the coursework required by this program.
