I just wanted to know if majority of you were doing a distace ed program through a specific school. For example doing all courses through the school of your choice. Or If you are trying to "test out" Clep, Dantes, others, Etc. Or A combination of both. I also wouldnt mind hearing what schools people are in. I stumbled across this site a few months back after not liking the local college scene. I knocked out some FEMA credits, a few Clep exams then stopped. Had to move etc. Need to jump back on the bandwagon. In the meantime im going to go read some old posts. I havent been on here in awhile and need to catch up...
I am at Thomas Edison State College. Here is my breakdown of the 184 credits I'll finish with: 51 credits using CLEP/DSST. 27 credits for courses taught. 2 credits from a previous course. 1 FEMA credit. (won't be used) 30 credits through my school's online classes. 10 lab science credits through a different school to transfer over. 63 traditional B/M credits from previous degree (won't be used)
I didn't vote because none of the options applied. My Master's is twelve courses, and I finished ten through them and am going to take the last two where I work now and transfer them. When I went back to finish my Bachelor's I did CLEP tests and took courses at two colleges. -=Steve=-
For my AA and BS from COSC - tested out and classes at several schools (see link - http://bain4weeks.com/randell.html ) BS from Cal Coast - same as above (combo plus Cal Coast classes) MBA, MS, and PhD - all the same school
I completed my Master's and Specialist's degrees at the University of South Carolina through distance education, and I'm currently about halfway through a doctorate in education at Nova Southeastern.
