I'd suspect that it depends very much on what you know something about. If you don't know any of it then it will depend on what you can tolerate spending a lot of time studying.

I'd suspect that mathphobes would do very poorly on the math or physics exams while those who don't like to read the masters won't do too will on the English.

If you're asking which test is easiest, I'd suspect that there is not an easy exam in this bunch. ;)

You can say that again! At the time I thought I might do the Computer Science one, you know, get an easy 30 credits. Then I did a few practice exams and ran back to my CLEP tests with my tail between my legs.

The one most closely related to your undergraduate major?

If you don't have an undergraduate major, then a subject GRE might make sense if you have a real interest in something, have read about it extensively, have work experience in it or something like that. But in that case, would you even be asking this question? You would already know the answer.

Given similar initial conditions (level of knowledge in the subject under review), my sense is that the GRE Advanced Subject Examination in Psychology might generally be considered the most accessible. That "sense" borne of direct experience with this GRE and the casual observation that over the years more (BA in 4 Weeks) correspondents have expressed a preference for this subject exam than any other.

Another practical reason to choose the Psych GRE is the number of complimentary 3-credit competency exams available. If you look to earn a major in Psychology by way of the GRE, but fall short in percentile score (<80% Excelsior, <40% COSC), the deficit can be filled by a pass in one or more of the Excelsior Psych Exams (and/or CLEP Psychs - at a pinch).

thanks for your all of your response

Actually , Coach Turner answered the question with precision.....

for all of those people who use their left side of their brain.... I guess Math and Computer Science will give them a sense of ease when studying for this exam....

And Lawrie Miller is right on the dot with GRE psych....

Even if you dont make it on the GRE , you could still take the various Regent, CLEP and Dante exams to fill in the requierments for this major....
