What DL teaching skills should I try out?

All of the courses that I teach are classroom-based. For convenience, I've decided to move some components of my courses to my school's virtual learning environment. First, rather than printing thousands of pages of homework instructions over the semester, I'll just post everything on the course homepage. Second, rather than answering lots of E-mails with identical questions, students can post their questions to the course discussion board.

In the future, I'd like to be able to market myself as "able to teach On-line courses". Are there some other features I should consider incorporating in my course homepage so that I can refer to this experience as something which demonstrates that I have the required skills?

I like to post something like FAQs in the classes. Questions you know the class will ask and your answers. You can also highlight your ability to connect to students and your tactics for retention - how to save or re-engage the failing students.
