What are my odds of getting the job?

I applied for a part-time leasing agent job about a year ago and made it to the top two - but they went with the other applicant. The position opened up again so I applied and the manager sent me an email almost instantly saying she was happy I re-applied and thinks I will be a great fit for the job. Yesterday, I went in for an interview with the Regional Manager which is the last phase of the interview process.

Given the history, do you think that increases my odds? Or am I on a level playing field with the other applicants? How long do you think it will take them to decide? The person who was in the position is no longer with the company so I imagine they are hoping to fill the position quickly.

Ahhh, waiting is the hardest part! lol

As a hiring manager, if I did that it would only to go through the formalities of an interview to hire you quickly.

 

Thanks. I hope that is the case but not feeling too confident as I interviewed yesterday and still haven't heard back.

 

Depending on the size of the company, it could take up to a week...sometimes more.

I interviewed Tues, March 5, at 1:45 p.m. and sent a follow-up email immediately afterwards "It was a pleasure meeting with you and xxxx today...." . When should I send another follow-up to check the status? I would love to do it today but don't want to be too pushy or annoying.

 

Give it a week or so. You definitely do not want to appear pushy!
