    MDS (also the acronym for Multiple Deceptiveness Syndrome) announces remarkably that Dr Howard A Eyrich now is on staff at said Seminary which is noted for its novel approach to granting a doctorate in Theology for the completion of a mere eight courses.

    Dr Eyrich is richly qualified for this position as his terminal (we leave the sense of that adjective to the imagination of the reader) degree is from Western Seminary ( RA/ATS ).

    Using Russellian logic, we leap to the conclusion that therefore Western Seminary accredits MDS!

    The New English Bible says "beware of loose livers"--especially when they pool their talent.

    You use NEB?, knew you were more liberal than I Unk!

    A DTS doc at Trinity and a Western doc at MDS...the sign of The End Times upon us? If the sky is not falling, perhaps the stars are!

    Question for Bill

    Bill: "A DTS doc at Trinity and a Western doc at MDS...the sign of The End Times upon us? If the sky is not falling, perhaps the stars are!"

    Bill,

    I was curious about the DTS reference, but am having trouble navigating the Trinity website. Who teaches at Trinity with a Dallas PhD?

    Re: Question for Bill

    ==========================

    Dave,

    Ronald Clutter, PhD from DTS, I believe also former Dean at Grace, was my "prof" for Christology at Trinity. While Dr Clutter and I disagree on whether Chalcedon (ie that ecumenical creed of 481 AD) is cracked or not (one of my several breaks with orthodoxy of which I'd be happy to bore any with who has a few spare hours), I found him to be more demanding than the average RA school prof with whom I've interacted and I'd guess I've had dealings as a student with scores of these. I never have maintained that Trinity did not expect a fair amount of work!!! I spoke to Dr Clutter several times on the phone and later pleased him much with a 65 page submission on the exegetical evidences for hierarchicalism. Naturally a DTS grad would favor such a position as I do also.
