Virtual school a cost-cutting measure?

Yes, if you are looking for something in the K-12 realm, there is an article on the Wall Street Journal's website that discusses how online school can be a cost-cutting measure.

They are, of course, talking about those free online schools (Connections Academy, K12, Insight Schools, iQ Academies, etc.). I think my site lists over 130 such schools.

The interesting thing is that the article is about other things; it just mentions this as one possibility for saving money. I like to see how such things can become part of the culture.
