Take your time, jamaldn. It's only taken two weeks to narrow it down this far. Perhaps by July we'll know which remailing service is being portrayed as the campus. :D

Ok so you spent 3 years in Romford, London. Can you provide us with the exact address of the campus, library, faculty offices etc.

    Cheers,

    George

This just in from the British Council:

    Dear George,

Thank you for your email. I have checked our files and I have no record of a Victoria Brooke University attending any of our events. The university would not be eligible for ECS membership as it is not a UK based institution.

The event in Kuala Lumpur would also have been marketed as a UK event, so I would have thought it unlikely that they would be interested in attending.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Kind regards,

    XXXXXXXXXXXXX

So, jamaldn, looks like you were duped buddy - or you are telling a little fib...which one is it?

    Cheers,

    George

Universities in the Commonwealth of Dominica

That is unfortunate. For what it's worth, the only "real" tertiary institutions on Dominica are the Dominica State College (the local community college), and Ross University School of Medicine. Neither has a distance program. The University of the West Indies has a centre there as well.

FWIW, the government there isn't even aware of these degree mills. After all, anyone can incorporate anything anywhere, and in every country with a university you'll see nearby businesses called "University Cleaners" or "University Florists" or whatnot.

Roosevelt Skerrit, the new Prime Minister, was the Minister of Education there and has been a big promoter of the legitimacy of the Dominica State College. If a list could be made of degree mills claiming to be from Dominica, I don't think it would be hard to get action revoking their incorporations, or otherwise officially disclaiming them.

Clearly this is one, Capitol College was another, although I haven't seen that one recently.
