Very confused, need help.

    Well, W, it looks to me like you have gotten some great advice from this forum.

    It really boils down to this: If the school is regionally accredited, you will get a respected doctorate. Any school which is regionally accredited will have that clearly displayed or linked from its home page, though you may have to search a bit.

    If you want a challenging online degree, I highly recommend regionally accredited distance-only schools. Why? Too many brick & mortar schools are converting their hard-campus programs to online programs without the expertise to bring interactivity into their online programs. In other words, they convert their hard courses into little more than email correspondence courses.

    Totally online, regionally accredited schools understand the need for interactivity. And they know that they will survive based on the cyber-reputation built by their online students. They are not looking for a supplemental income source...online students are their sole source.
