Thanks to all the support from this community navigating the accelerated bachelor's path. I’m excited to say I got accepted to both the UT MSDS and GaTech MSCS ML programs.

What are the prevalent opinions on these two programs? I understand the GaTech program can take longer based on their initial limitations on course-load. I also understand these are not exactly the same. Just curious about feedback and industry standing.

Awesome work! It's great you've applied to a couple or more and got accepted into two top programs of your choice! It's going to be a hard decision, but you should follow your gut or first choice. I think you've got yourself set on UT MSDS from the very beginning and wanted to use GT MSCS as a backup option if you didn't get in. I would compare the two offerings and the course content to see which one appeals to you more as the difference may be minimal but one may have something more of your liking than the other. They're both very good choices and will be hard to make... Flip a coin if you have to!

It depends on what you want to get out of the program. Data Science and Machine Learning are two different areas of study; Machine Learning is more comparable to UT Austin's MS in Artificial Intelligence. I would recommend choosing the school that is closer to where you live so you can visit the campus and make the most out of the resources and networking.

I am in a position professionally where I work hand in hand with the data science team. I can tell you now, one has a PhD in Applied Mathematics and the other 2 have MS in Data Science. If you want to do Data Science, I’d probably go with UT-Austin.
