This is a program I just discovered through a Poets and Quants post. Appears that the 1st cohort began this summer. McCombs is a prestigious B-School at a Public Ivy and honestly, the $48,000 in-state and $53,000 out-of-state is a good cost when compared to programs from similar type universities. https://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/graduate/ms-programs/ms-business-analytics-working-professionals/
It is nice to have an option, but the price is quite expensive for Business Analyst. Georgia Tech's MS in Analytics specialize in Business Analytics still a better choice for both ranking and cost effective. It is crazy that UT Austin offers STEM Master degrees through edX for much lower tuition than the MSBA program. Not to say the EdX program is bad but I believe, and I am probably wrong in it, that most EdX and Coursera courses are cookie cutter type courses versus school designed curriculum as this program.
It could be, you pay what you get. For example, the Online MBA at Boston University costs $24,000.00, but the on campus costs $80,000.00. It is a whole different product, according to Questrom School of Business. Where there are about 400 students in one cohort, which requires multiple professors and TA's to teach one class. Collaborations dividing into 6 to 7 person group for assignments, discussion, and researches.
