Many institutions, such as mine, omit the "lecturer" and "senior lecturer" positions and have the ranks of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor for full-time faculty. Titles for adjuncts vary widely among institutions. We use three titles for our part-time faculty: Adjunct Instructor, Senior Adjunct Instructor and Adjunct Professor. The number of units taught is what determines adjunct rank (full-time rank has additional requirements).

I have seen Canadian universities use Adjunct in combination with typical Professor ranks, i.e.:

    Adjunct Professor
    Adjunct Associate Professor
    Adjunct Assistant Professor

This recognizes the rank without the tenure.

I'd like to propose a new title:

Assistant to the Associate, Part-time, Adjunct Instructor.

Now there's a title you could be proud of. :)
