There are also bridge programs for $5K that will get you PQ (not AQ).

you are right Shawn , only Sullivan is for-profit ,Thanks for correcting me . It wasn't with strayer but i have asked few people who are in academia and most of them advise me to stay away from for-profit school . even in general a doctorate from public or non-profit school won't raise an eye brow .

Shawn I'm not sure if you still in school or not , would you tell us if you are having any difficulty finding a teaching job at online school or community college with doctorate from for-profit school ?

    Fadia,

Rather than try to summarize everything here, I'm going to post a couple of old links that describe my experiences, etc. It wasn't and still isn't easy.

For the record, I am an Assistant Professor of Business at The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN. My position is a tenure-track position. I graduated from Capella University in March 2010 with a Ph.D. in Organization/Management.

Good luck with your decision making!

    Fadia,
I never had any problems finding a teaching job. I completed my Argosy DBA when I was still in the Air Force. During that time I had adjunct teaching jobs at Keller Graduate School of Management teaching in their MBA and MPM programs. After I retired from the USAF I was accepted into a full time position at my current school where I am an associate professor teaching in our MBA program.

Okay, that did it. :) Between this and some crack elsewhere about for-profit degrees being worthless, I'm going to start a thread on this very topic.
